


Michigan’s stadium often called by it’s nickname, “The Big House,” is the largest stadium in the United States. Holding an official capacity of 107,601, on game days it holds more people than most cities in the state of Michigan. Since 1975, the stadium has consistently hosted over 100,000 people for each home game with the streak currently being over 300. The Big House has record of 115,109, set on September 7, 2013 when the Wolverines defeated Notre Dame 41-30.

Michigan Stadium started construction in 1926 for $950,000. It officially built and opened in 1927 with an original capacity of 72,000. The stadium was again renovated in 2010 for $226 million.
